Crash-test of ideas and projects Smart City in Boiling Point SSEU

On March 3 in the Boiling Point of Samara State University of Economics the event "Crash-test of ideas and projects Smart City" was held, organized by the Chair of Regional Economics and Management. This event corresponds to SSEU’s model of advanced personnel training for the region.

The relevant topic and the format attracted a lot of participants: students, schoolchildren, experts, urban media.

The task of the children was to offer the idea and develop the concept of an innovative project that meets the criteria: feasibility, impact on the urban environment, cost, use of the national technology platform (Aeronet, Avtonomet, Neuronet, Energy, Saifnet). These tasks allowed the 3rd and 4th year students of the bachelor's programs "State and Municipal Management", "Regional Economics" to remember everything they studied at the lectures, so that the proposed project could be implemented from the point of view of the local government, the applied technologies, ways to attract funding.

Moderators Khmeleva G.A., Chirkunova E.K., Agaeva L.K. relied on flexible methodology of Agile project development. During the course the partcipants had an opportunity to discuss their ideas with the expert practitioners: F.Y. Zhiltsov, Head of Municipal public institution of Samara" Center for Traffic Organization", M.A. Samsonov, Chief Engineer of Municipal public institution of Samara "Center for Traffic Organization", Head of the Department of Information Resources and Technologies A. U. Nikolaev, P.A. Gordievsky CEO of LLC "Management Association of Management Companies" .

The participants developed and presented the concepts of the projects: "Smart Citizen", Eco-transport, Smart-Speed - change in the system of outdated city routes, app that allows you to solve garbage problems, Smart-stops, Special atmosphere for tourists.

Students of SSEU, participants of the international project on the topic of Smart City siezed the opportunity to meet with experts. Dinara Gilmanova, 4th year student of "World Economy" and Robert Naumov, 2nd year student of "Economic Security" together with Omsk and Swiss universities developed a new business model for energy providers and the project "Decentralized Energy Systems" Participation in the event of Boiling Point allowed students to get feedback from experts and use their recommendations in further work.
