July 23, 2020.

Samara State University of Economics joined the Consortium of educational organizations of higher and secondary vocational education on the basis of the INPO HE "Innopolis University" as a Supportive educational center in the areas of digital economy (Kazan). Currently, the project involves 13 universities and 14 institutions of secondary vocational education.

SSEU is committed to elaborate and implement best practices for the creation of competencies that are in demand in modern conditions, taking into account the specifics of the digital economy. According to the vice-rector for development of educational programs of SSEU Maria Guseva, the priority task of the university in the nearest future is to train highly qualified specialists in various professional fields who would have digital competencies for their subject areas: economics, law, state and municipal management, agriculture, tourism, etc.

SSEU's participation in the Consortium will have a significant impact on the targets of the federal project' regional component "Personnel for the Digital Economy". A large-scale assessment of SSEU’s programs that educate students has already begun. Teachers and architects of educational programs adapt educational programs to the needs of the real sector of the digital economy. 300 students of the "non-digital" profile university are planned to create key competencies of the digital economy starting from the new academic year.

As for the future, SSEU has an ambitious task to become one of the five Consortium satellite centers in the areas of the digital economy.
